Carburizing

Nitriding
Nitriding is a surface hardening heat treatment that diffuses nitrogen into a metal's surface, forming hard nitrides for increased hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion resistance, without the distortion of traditional hardening; it's achieved at lower temperatures (around 500-580°C) through gas, plasma, or salt bath methods, making it ideal for precision parts like gears, dies, and automotive components.
